Thanks for looking at my 1966 Cherokee. A/c is in near mint condition with recent extensive annual in March. I'm moving up to a complex faster machine and have to depart with my beloved Cherokee after 7 years. This is a great instrument trainer or cross-country plane with good fuel economy. If you are looking at this specific model, you already know they are aconomical, fly well and can carry four adults easily.
Approx 1300SMOH; 700STOH; 4900TT on airframe; full records from 1966 showing all repairs, modifications, overhauls, etc. Instrument certified with dual vor's and single glideslope. I have a Garmin 500 on the yoke, which works wonderfully and compliments the instruments. Cigarrette lighter provides the power. She also has an input for ipod, ipad, iphone, etc. for music. Three headsets are included.

New paint in 2009. Interior 9/10 and in great shape with matching floor mats. Fuel burn 8.8-9.0gph in cruise allowing more than 5 hours endurance, which is more than my bladder would ever hold. She flies at 130mph carrying as much as you can stuff inside. These Cherokees are load haulers and are one of the most spacious birds in the sky as far as interior comfort. I maybe biased, but this a/c is the best 180 Cherokee I have seen anywhere.
She is privately hangared in LaPorte (T41) close to Houston, TX.

I
started flying this plane over 25 years ago but at age 71 I have reluctantly
decided it is time to pass along this extremely well maintained, low time, IFR aircraft
to another pilot.
This
is a single engine plane with four seats which will carry approximately 1000 pounds
in passengers, cargo and gas. With a
full load it is possible to safely travel 800 miles cruising at 150
mph. Cessnas of this generation are
known for their safety, reliability and low operating cost.
It
is a very attractive plane and has had the best of care inside and out which, hopefully,
you can see in the pictures. I know of no condition issues other than a few
minor cracks in the plastic trim in remote locations. Tires are excellent. The seats are fabric. It has a Pilot push to talk switch and
passenger intercom. The battery is new. It is insured for $75,000.
All
logs are complete and the Aircraft Directives have been complied with. Damage
History is minor and superficial. It has
long range gas tanks. Radio equipment
includes Narco MK 12D LOC/GS, Bendix /King 125 Nav/ Com, King KMA 12B audio
panel, Narco ADF 31A, Bendix/ King 176A Transponder and Narco encoder AR850.

Modifications and updates that I have made include: It was painted in 2001…
it was stripped to bare metal, etched, primed and painted with DuPont Imron. We
installed a new windshield and windows in 1996.
Also installed were STOL with cuffs, stall fences, gap seals and super
tips plus speed modifications, STC for auto gas, Smart Scanner with 8
temperature probes - six on the cylinders, one on the carb and one on the cylinder
head, a Garman 95 for situation awareness and stainless steel cowl fasteners
Included are a tow bar, fire extinguisher, wing covers, window screens, exhaust
extension and a fuel step.
